Location

Located in the State of Bahia, on Brazil’s Atlantic Coast, 4km to the south of the village of Trancoso, this magnificent property runs for 500m along the unspoilt Itaporoca Beach where there are few other homes. The nearest airport is 45 minutes away at Porto Seguro and there is a private landing strip 15 minutes away at Terravista. The property has parking for up to 3 helicopters at a time.

The property benefits from its own private beach access and guests walk along a tree lined path through the undergrowth and the powder-soft sand of the beach is just 30m from the main house. Total privacy guaranteed.

Trancoso

The small village, founded by the Jesuits in the Sixteenth Century, is one of the most hip holiday destinations in Brazil. Trancoso was rediscovered at the end of the 70’s by a band of Hippies who set up camp in the colourful houses near the church and which gave them with views of the sea. Today the buzz in the evening still revolved around this grassy quadrangle, known simply as the Quadrado where the main pulls are the numerous clothing boutique, artisan shops and the charming little bars and restaurants where live music can be heard until the early hours.

Itapororoca beach
The name derives from Tupi and means ‘booming rock’ and refers to particular point where the surf breaks noisily over a large rock.

Just offshore lies a coral reef that forms natural swimming-pools of warm water at low-tide where many tropical fish can be seen. Its great for snorkelling. At low tide its possible to ride horses or cycle uninterrupted along the beach until arriving at the Rio dos Frades, 6km to the south, where the Portuguese first landed in Brazil over 500 years ago.

Villa Itapororoca is situated in Trancoso, juts 40 minutes from Porto Seguro International Airport.

By air
There are regular flights from Sao Paulo and Salvador to Porto Seguro with TAM and GOL Airlines. There is a landing strip for private jets at the Terravista Condominium 10km from the villa.
